This cactus needs indirect light to bring out its colors, but it will not want to get scorched by excessive sun. Water its soil infrequently, as little as once every few weeks; be careful not to overwater. Place out of the way of household drafts. Plant in a good cactus mix with excellent drainage and good aeration.

The Variegated Moon Cactus has spherical growth that calls to mind the full moon for which it is named. It shows off very visible spines, deep ridging, and what is best, an amazing array of unusual colors. In addition to green, you will see striking pink, purple, red, orange, and yellow, with multiple colors on the same "moon". This cactus looks great on its own but makes an even more dramatic display when grouped with other Moon Cacti. In a grouping, you'll get almost a kaliedoscope of color.
