Available Options
This plant prefers moist to well-drained soil. While it can tolerate some dryness, you will want to water it frequently.
A bit of slow-release fertilizer can be applied to this plant just once per growing season, before blooms appear.
This is one of our top 10 plants for the miniature garden. It keeps on blooming all spring and through the summer with tiny white flowers. In mild winter regions it is evergreen. The tiny, light green spoon-shaped leaves form a dense mounding mat of foliage. It can be used as a stepable plant when planted between stepping-stones where foot traffic is moderate. Bellium is not picky about the soil it is planted in, but needs regular watering to thrive. Can easily be sheared back if it needs to be controlled in a miniature garden. The bees love it. Best for shady areas.
