This plant likes to avoid the bright light, but it loves warmth and high humidity. Hence, it grows well in a terrarium environment, but also on a countertop or near a bit of window light... but nothing too much. Plant in a potting soil with neutral pH.

The leaves of this houseplant are reminiscent of elongated hearts, appearing on black wiry stems. The thin stems fade into the background so much that the "hearts" seem almost to float in thin air... a very pretty sight. The plant's foliage has a nice sheen to it, and a leathery feel. This is a very nice addition to any houseplant collection.
