It is hard to share anything about this plant without using the term “pretty”. It is a very pretty and sought after plant which boasts pink foliage markings that are quite an unusual addition to most houseplant displays. "Dottie" shows off sizable, medium-green leaves with hot pink markings. The eye-catching pink design follows the margin of the leaf and creates a border of green, then pink, then green, with a bit of cream thrown in for good measure… truly artistic. There is also a prominent center line of the same pink. While Marantas are the official Prayer Plants, Calatheas are part of the same family and almost always carry that common name due to the movement of their leaves. "Dottie’s" leaves move as day to turns to night, allowing their rosy undersides to be more visible. Again, pretty!
