Give this plant about 5 hours of sunlight each day, knowing it will do fine in the heat. While it does not need heavy hydration and is, in fact, drought tolerant, this Scented Geranium does like to get watered a few times each week. Water at the base of the plant, trying to avoid soaking the foliage and delicate blooms. For the best bloom production, pinch spent flowers and any seed pods that form.

This Scented Geranium has intricately cut chartreuse foliage that not only looks great but also smells sharp and bright, like Citronella. This fragrance is most apparent when the lacy leaves are crushed. It blooms from spring to fall in pale pink with a bit of maroon to mark each flower. Flowers are light and airy, having an orchid-like appearance. While this Geranium is attractive to humans and pollinators, it will not get noticed by deer, so it can fill out into a nice bushy form as the season moves forward. (Take it in to use as a houseplant when the cold weather arrives.) While you cannot expect this plant to rid your yard of mosquitoes, it certainly adds a nice scent and look to garden displays and containers.
