Miniature Gardening continues to interest and excite people of all ages. The possibilities of creating a world in miniature are endless, from fairy gardens to creating a smaller version of your own backyard. If you are interested, but not quite sure where to start, you will find samples, supplies and lots of inspiration at our Miniature Garden Party. We will hold workshops on creating miniature container gardens, starting with a demonstration of plants and materials that can be used in preparing miniature gardens and instructions for creating your own 'little landscape'. You pay only for the container (if purchased here), plants, and materials used to create a mini-magical world of your own. If your container needs an area for a little bistro set or garden bench, or a stone pathway to lead from one garden area to another, make sure to attend the workshop at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday or Sunday. We will supply all of the materials and step-by-step instructions for making a permanent and waterproof stone path or patio. Local master-gardener, Bonnie Hofer will be here at 2:00 p.m. each day to provide instructions on creating a rustic trellis for your home garden, using saplings and simple joining techniques. All materials will be provided. The cost for this workshop is $20.00. Look for the pink flamingos and get 25% off select plants. Enjoy refreshments and other sales throughout both days.
Please call or email to register for these workshops. |
