Delospermum cooperi will thrive in full sun (at least six hours per day) and in a wide range of soil types. Just be sure drainage is excellent, and hold off on the watering until the plant dries out quite drastically. This plant will not do well with wet feet. If you are mixing Ice Plants with others in a container arrangement, be sure the other plants in the mix will not need heavy watering, as soggy soil will be a detriment to your Ice Plants.

A great rock garden plant, the carefree Ice Plant grows with hardy succulent foliage that stays evergreen in select zones. Foliage has ice crystal-like formations on it, causing it to glint and shimmer in the light. However, the foliage is barely visible from early spring through fall, thanks to daisy-like flowers that bloom continuously all season long. With the Limoncello variety, you'll find your garden gets refreshed with large-sized blooms in frosty yellow and white.
