Thriving in shade, this deer-resistant ornamental grass requires only minimal care. It has medium watering needs and requires no shaping as the season progresses. Ensure well-draining soil. Although this plant likes moisture in a woodland environment, it cannot tolerate "wet feet".

This ornamental grass which some call Hakone Grass stays petite at no more than three feet tall. Blades of grass, or stems, arch gracefully from their mounds, creating a weeping or waterfall effect. Planted in multiples, this is an ideal grass to use for borders and edging where a dose of pretty green is in order.
