This plant prefers well-drained soil. Soil is well-drained when it allows water to drain through it at a moderate rate, without pooling. Allow the soil to become visibly dry before watering.
Ensure that this plant is not disturbed too much. Even though it has a carpet-like effect, it will not tolerate foot traffic. It does not mind heat or full sun. Giving it a feed a couple of times a year with a slow release fertilizer such as Osmocote will help encourage more growth. Pruning is not necessary.
