This delicious emerald green groundcover is looking very much like a moss. It likes to grow in sun or bright shade and is a member of the Carnation family. It is dense and cushiony and grows only to 3” tall and up to 24-36" across. This Australian native looks great tumbling tightly over rocks, as an edging for rock gardens or carpeting a container. Tolerates heat and sun, needs excellent drainage and thrives on no more than once or twice a week watering. Use as a base in the border for growing spring bulbs to flower through, tumbling out of retaining walls or in an outdoor miniature or fairy garden. The effect is wonderful. Giving it a feed a couple times a year with a slow release fertilizer like Osmocote will help encourage more growth. Pruning isn’t necessary.
