Here is a small groundcover to brighten up the garden. Erodiums belong to the geranium family. Erodium reichardii 'Charm' – Storksbill is pretty in pink, featuring light pink flowers with dark pink veins. The flowers get the Storksbill name from their shape, which is reminiscent of the head and beak of a bird. Green scalloped leaves spread out in compact mounds around the blossoms, which bloom from mid-spring to late summer.
This easy-to-grow groundcover plant prefers plenty of sun, fast-draining soils, and a moderate amount of water. For best results, plant 8 to 10-inches apart. While they are great for rock gardens and alpine gardens, Erodiums can tolerate some foot traffic.
