This rare, variegated version of the popular Strawberry Begonia is an attractive addition to any plant collection. Its small, rounded leaves have creamy edges. In full sun, the edges take on a bright pink color. Look for pups to emerge from the base of the Begonia; they will continue to trail down alongside this short, mounding plant.
The Saxifraga stolonifera, Variegated Strawberry Begonia grows well in a container and is easy to propagate. While it is not difficult to grow, the Begonia does not like humidity or too much warmth. Fast-growing, it likes plenty of water during the growing season, but avoid getting water on the leaves, which can cause fungal disorders.
