The 2026 season starts with our three-day Bareroot Sale. We are looking forward to seeing you all again! As always, during this sale, all bareroot nursery stock is sold at 25% off the regular potted price. New this year, bareroot plants listed under the Ornamental & Shade Trees, Crabapples and Other Fruit Trees catalog sections are 30% off. We have found that bare root plants thrive when planted in our cool spring weather. They are also much easier to handle than container grown plants! They can be stored safely for at least a week, provided they are kept moist and cool. Please ask our staff for more care information and for our handouts, which we hope you will find very useful. Our staff is available to answer any additional questions on planting and pruning, or choosing the right plants for your location. For highlights and details on some of the new 2026 varieties, please refer to our plant catalog for photos and a complete listing. In addition to the wide selection of bareroot plants, there are many trees and shrubs that are available in containers only. These include all evergreens and a few other trees and shrubs. In the catalog, any nursery item listed with a āBrā in the āPot Sizeā column will be available as bareroot during this event. After May 2nd, everything will be potted up into containers. Even though it may still be a little cool outside, the greenhouses are already full. New plants are making their debuts. We can't wait for you to see these new varieties in different colors, and with improved hardiness, garden performance, better disease resistance and more controlled growing habits. If you purchase a plant for home, please be aware that it may need to be kept in a warm area until the danger of frost has passed. |
