This forgiving ground cover does not want to be pampered at all. As long as it drains well, an average soil that is neither too rich nor too poor will be just fine for Dazzleberry... and rocky conditions are no issue for it. While pruning is not necessary with this plant, pinching back its tips a bit in spring can encourage fuller, bushier growth.

Talk about living up to multiple names! This Stonecrop has foliage that retains the gray-blue hues of stone all season (spring through fall), and shows off raspberry blooms that truly do "dazzle" with rich color. Blooming earlier than other Sedums, it is an attractive option for spreading a jewel-toned blanket of flowers across your garden at a fairly rapid rate. With its deer and rabbit resistance and tolerance for periods of drought, this plant will fare well along pathways, in rocky gardens, and just about anywhere.
