This dwarf shrub from Proven Winners® stays very compact if planted in a container, and it will expand a bit more if given more space to set roots. It shows off summer blooms in bright, true orange. The flowers dangle from the shrub and then give way to tiny pomegranates, the fruit of antiquity. While the fruit is edible, its sourness makes it less popular for eating than for leaving on the shrub as decoration. And even if left in place, deer will not bother the fruit or the foliage.
