Description:

A striking plant, Alocasia amazonica Bambino shows off bold white veining on dark green, shiny leaves. Its leaves are angular and shaped like elephants’ ears or large arrowheads with clearly patterned tops and burgundy undersides. Though flowering from spring to summer in optimal conditions, its best feature is the bold coloration of its foliage. The dwarf Bambino was bred to grow no more than approximately one foot in height, with leaves that appear large in relation to the plant’s overall size. Alocasia amazonica Bambino likes evenly moist, well-draining soil, which should not be allowed to dry out. Use a diluted liquid fertilizer once a month in the growing season—no fertilizer in winter—to keep this show-stopper in prime condition.
