A bright little green groundcover for use in moist areas or in a minature or fairy garden. At Miniature-Gardening we use it along little dry streams or ponds in the miniature garden. One of the most striking of the sweet flags, this grassy-leaved sweet flag cultivar is a miniature or dwarf plant that looks like a grass but is a member of the Acorus family. The small tufts of tiny, ornamental grass-like foliage will slowly spread by creeping roots to form a mat. Insignificant, sedge-like flower spikes of tiny, densely-packed, greenish-yellow flowers appear in spring. Flowers give way to tiny fleshy berries. It can be quite effective when planted between stepping stones. Also works well in rock gardens or border fronts. Mass as a ground cover in small areas of water gardens, along streams or ponds or open woodland gardens.
