Dear Fellow Gardeners
 What's Growing On...
Garden Flowers

Ready, Set, Plant!

Memorial Day Weekend:  Saturday, Sunday and Monday, May 25th thru the 27th.

NOW is the time to plant your flower beds and vegetable garden!  We have a great selection of edibles, annuals, perennials and trees and shrubs to select from.  It's time to get your hands in the soil and face in the sunshine.  Gardening is one of the best relaxing and rewarding activities that the entire family can take part in.

On Monday, May 27th Americans across the country will remember the brave men and women who gave their life for our country.  You can plan to observe the holiday with a service, a parade, or a moment of silence to remember those who have sacrificed themselves for our freedom.

 Pick of the Week...

Houseplant Highlight:  Monstera

Plants add shape, color and life to a room and that is just one reason we love them. They are also surprisingly versatile and like other decor such as artwork and furniture, are a strong tool to have in your design toolbox.  Plants can be used as a major feature of the room or a last minute styling detail, a room divider or table display. This week's feature will create a big, bold, tropical feel in your home.

Monstera "Swiss Cheese Plant" is an easy-to-grow houseplant with show-stopping foliage. It's glossy, heart-shaped leaves have holes called fenestration that give the plant its nickname. It tolerates low light, but grows faster and becomes more dramatic in a bright location. Monstera makes a perfect houseplant for beginners and masters, since it's easy to take care of and has an exotic appearance.  They can be moved outside in the summer, but need to be acclimated to higher light levels gradually or will sunburn.  Toxic to pets. Make a statement with Monstera!
