What's New around the Greenhouse

Something for the kids in us all!

Visitors were delighted last year with the new miniature garden display. In fact, the response was so positive it encouraged us to take it online. Now you can order everything you need to create your own little world from our on-line shop: cottages, furniture, garden structures, hardscape materials, accessories, fairies, and even plants (from March 14^th to November 30^th).

Water Features

Late this fall we installed a Pondless Waterfall in the display garden. This is simply a re-circulating waterfall, allowing you to enjoy the sight and sound of running water without the maintenance of a pond. The pondless waterfall is equipped with an optional light kit so it can be enjoyed in the evening as well. It's a great alternative for those who are trying to get their feet wet, or looking to fit a little bit of paradise into their own backyard. We will offer all of the materials for making your own Pondless Waterfall, or our landscaping team can install one for you.

Perhaps the backyard is simply too small for even a pondless waterfall, or you may simply want the sight and sound of water, without any maintenance whatsoever. For those of us that just want to enjoy, there are Bubbling Rocks. Combining the beauty of rock and ornamental backyard landscaping with the unique system of Bubbling Rocks creates an environment that is as tranquil as it is worry-free. We have installed one near the gift shop so you can enjoy listening to the soothing sounds of the water splashing over the rocks as you pause for a cup of coffee or other refreshment.

Fairies, Elves and other magic

With the growing interest shown in the miniature/fairy garden, the number of items available for creating magical, mystical worlds, indoors or out has grown considerably.

Welcome fairies, gnomes, and wee fae into your enchanted gardens with a magical little Elf Door. This design features an arched window, elaborate hinges and doorknob and wood grained texture. Additional styles and colors of doors are also available. They look great placed in the root flare of a large tree, against a wall or floorboard, sitting on a shelf or nestled into a potted plant, suggesting fairies, elves or gnomes live there.

Imagine a garden filled with the magic of Fairy presence. If you listen very closely you may even hear their laughter. Garden Shadows come with an attached ground stake. Made in the USA from rust resistant, heavy gauge recycled steel. Use indoors or outdoors.

Topsy-turvy 'clay' pots

They are so small in size that they can fit in a 14-16" container mini-landscape, or can be used in the outside garden setting. Made to look like a stack of upside down clay pots, there's room for an entire fairy family. Solar lights make it easy for your fairies to find their way home after dark. Other styles include a birdhouse with light and a house planter.
