Fall foliage is often thought of with regards to trees, but shrubs and perennials can offer just as much interest, coming into their full glory in the fall. Some shrubs like hydrangea, barberry, virburnum or chokeberry, offer colorful flowers, bold foliage, interesting fruits and berries that may hang on into the winter months. Several perennial plants, like asters, amsonia blue star, heliopsis or sedum offer brilliant color in the border when all others have past their peaks or died back completely.

To add fresh color to your patio planters, choose colorful asters or mums, heucheras in a range of fall colored foliage, ornamental grasses, or happy-faced pansies. We also have ready-made containers filled with frost-tolerant plants and, of course the mammoth mums are here, bursting with hundreds of blooms.

We are excited to have 2 guest speakers here this weekend. Rick Stemmann and Dave McNamara are both from Bailey Nurseries in Minnesota. They will be sharing their extensive knowledge about trees and shrubs for our climate and how best to prune them.
