Dear fellow gardeners...

Growing Tip...

If at all possible, spring flowering bulbs should be planted between mid-September and mid-October in Wisconsin and Minnesota. The soil is starting to drop below 60°F at this time, which encourages bulbs to root. As a general rule, earlier is better, allowing at least six weeks before the ground freezes. Generally speaking, tulips and garden lilies (Lilium species) can tolerate later planting. If you are late in planting any bulbs other than the above, you might not get top performance out of them due to the late planting. Always fertilize your bulbs and water them in even if the soil seems moist.

Product Feature...
Bulb-Saver

Bulb-Saver

This spray has been developed specifically to protect bulbs and roots from the most common pests and should be a staple in every gardener's treatment plan. Simply apply it to your bulbs and roots prior to planting. When it dries the taste and odor deters squirrels and burrowing pests from digging up your plants.

Equally important, Bulb-Saver prevents mold and root rot, two of the most common causes of bulb failure. It even acts as a natural fertilizer, giving your plants the extra boost they need to survive!
