What's Growing On...

Next weekend (August 7^th & 8^th) we hope to see you at our Endless Summer event. We are also having our biggest sale ever starting today, August 2nd. There will be 30% Off All Trees, Shrubs and Perennials, and 25% Off All Gifts & Pottery.

Along with this we will have two special seminars. In the first one we will return to the popular topic 'Controlling perennials that tend to grow too tall.' We will also show you how to stagger or delay the bloom times of the same plants in order to get them to fit to the rhythm of your own design. This is a fascinating and somewhat experimental way of gardening that we find interesting.

Another always important topic is the ever present deer in our yards. We will go over the most deer resistant plants we have come across and show the best ways to fence in the others we know they will munch on. Please look at our website to find out when the classes start.

Liquid Fence

We carry several types of deer repellents but Liquid Fence is still the top selling product. It comes with a money back guarantee and is one of the least expensive sprays. Deer tend to get used to any type of repellant however, and we have found that it is most effective to alternate between 2 kinds of products when faced with heavy deer pressure.

Remember to read the label before applying repellant. Liquid Fence recommends repeating the first application after one week and then again at three week intervals after that.
